Shambaugh native Whitney Beery is the newest addition to the Page County Conservation Board. She is employed by Bank Iowa in Clarinda, and her family owns and operates several farms in the area. In addition to joining the board, she was nominated and appointed as the new board secretary.

Thomas Earl Seehan was pronounced dead at 11:17 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17  in his cell at the Clarinda Correctional Facility. It is believed he died of natural causes and his body has been sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office to confirm the cause of death. Seehan was 69.
